Most Friday nights, we have a date night! Sometimes it's just a simple dinner at Pete's favorite, The Varsity and a movie, or my favorite....sushi, and other times we try out good new (or new to us) places in and around Atlanta. Well, there are SO many places to pick from.
We love: Seasons 52, PF Changs, Stoney River, Rosa Mexicano, Mary Mac's, Ru Sans, Blue Fin, La Parilla , McKendricks, and Nuevo Laredo! Just to name a few:) So, tonight, it's my turn to decide what we are going to do, where we are going and all that! Well, I just don't know! I need some suggestions...... There are so many places to pick from!!
What is your favorite or one of your favorite places to eat around Atlanta?

Henry's in downtown Acworth... yum
Try The Real Chow Baby...2 locations, one around the Cobb Galleria and the other closer into Atlanta. It's amazing!
OOO chow baby is a really good suggestion. What about Taqueria del sol. Love that place! Hope you guys have fun. Let's hang out soon!
R. Thomas in midtown. I've only eaten there twice but it is CRAZY awesome, Caged birds outside, tatooed and pierced servers, heavy vegitarian influence but the food and unique beverages are awesome! Try the fruity maté teas. And the cous cous.
Forget that! All those places are hackneyed and old news. Try Maru Sushi on South Cobb Dr near East-West Connector. Tell the hostess that you are friends of Jamil and Patricia (and Mambo) and we sent you there. Sushi will never be the same after that.
this is sad. we live in atlanta and have not been to any of those places.. cant wait to meet you at the blog party and get some suggestions
we loved Killer Creek in Alpharetta...do not know if it is still there but is was SO good.
My dad suggests any hole in the wall BBQ place. I love Williamson Bros (not really hole in the wall, but good)
Have fun with Pete! Mike and I can't wait for a date night (next week!! WOOT WOOT)
Love ya'll!
Two Urban Licks!!
You need to try Capers in downtown Kennesaw. It is really good.
Hey Hollie,
Capers in downtown Kennesaw is really good.
You know....when we do get away my only request is that things are semi-quiet. We can sit in the back of Arby's with a tablecloth and a candle...and we have....and talk...taste comes second to quiet and relaxing. Note that Arby's does not have a playplace!!
Fogo de Chao and The Varsity, for two completely different reasons.
Here's an idea. Skip date night and hit the town with ME!
Loved meeting you last night. How is it that it takes the internet to meet someone who lives five miles away?
OK Cafe...Bob and I eat there sometimes after working out at 2nd Ponce de Leon's Family Life Center...we can eat four delicious vegies, & a corn muffin each that'll slap your Grandma down & water for under 10 bucks! Hi Hollie, I love your blog, and YOU too! Blessings, Linda
We haven't been in awhile but right down the street from you is Vinings Inn; fabulous food - cute place - if it's still there.
Thanks yall for all the suggestions!! I have a running list now!
I found your blog from Whittaker Woman...and I recognized your husband from winter xtreme. May I suggest noche(tapas bar) and figo(great pasta) in the virginia highlands.
