Friends......

I got to spend the weekend with my sweet friend, Meredith. We have not really hung out together in about 4 years. Her husband Alex is a pastor now in Oklahoma. It was great to see her. We met at the beach and shopped, sat on the beach, talked for HOURS and ate ice cream!! What a fun girls weekend!! I can't wait to get both of our families together.

Addie came with me and Hopie stayed home with daddy so she could go to school. They had a fun time together while we were gone.

Addie learned to fish and she is "hooked" now. Mimommy is thrilled to have another fishing partner. She has asked for her own fishing pole for Christmas now. Along with a "real" cell phone and an ipod!! Yes, she's 3.

Lindsey & I being silly.....

When Lindsey and I get together...there is usually not a dull moment! No, she is not my sister ...my cousin. We look more alike than Dee and I.
We spent the day over at my parents house on Sunday after church.

Here's dad attempting to take a nap, but there was an elephant in the room!!

Go Carter!

The girls had a fun time cheering for their cousin on Saturday at his football game!!

Fright Fest

Warning!!! You may get scared looking at these pictures........
We went to six flags on Friday night with our wonderful staff. I guess you could call this a tradition now. I'm still trying to figure out why we pay money for people to run around and scare us! It's really scary. I have to admit though- I like to be scared to a point!
We stayed at the park until it closed at midnight then we were starving, so what better place to end the night than the Marietta Diner. That place is always packed no matter what time of the night you are there.

Night Out with Hopie!

Today after Bible Study, Addie invited herself to spend the night with her cousin, so Hope and I got to spend the day and evening together (Pete was playing tennis after work)
So, I told her we would go anywhere for dinner she wanted to go........She said she wanted SUSHI!!! Yes, my 6 year old loves sushi, so we went to Ru Sans then shoe shopping!! We had such a fun time together!

Cagle's Dairy!

What a fun fall field trip we had with Addie's preschool on Tuesday! We went to Cagle's and she got to feed a baby cow that was born 2 days ago, go on a hay ride, learn how the milk makes it to the grocery store, drink chocolate milk and run around with 15 other wild 3 year olds!

Sweet Family

This is Lordus and Hiro from Honduras. We were able to hang out with them on Monday night and they shared with us about their ministry in Honduras. He is a pastor and began church planting 25 years ago.

We can't wait to see them again hopefully in their country next time!

Great Weekend!

I had a great time with my girlfriends at the beach. We went down to my parents condo on Wednesday night and had 2 days on the beach! The weather was perfect. We did absolutely nothing!
Church was great today! I was running late and then started talking to a lady in the back and the next thing I know-my name is being called from the stage.....oops!
They called Pete and I up and gave us a very nice gift and a dozen red roses for pastor appreciation month!! It was very sweet!! We actually got to do it for both services.
We are so thankful to serve in such a wonderful place and have such great people around us!!
I could not imagine being anywhere else!!

Long time, no post.....

I got a few emails and a couple of calls telling me to update my blog....We've been really busy the past couple of weeks. I can't believe we are already in October. Pretty soon we will be loading up the family and walking around the Christmas Tree farm!!

Last night was great to catch up with "old" friends...Courtney and Andrew Pray. Actually they were both in the youth group when we were at FBC-Springdale. They are amazing worship leaders and they are now serving at a church South of Atlanta. We had fun watching our 4 kids run wild at California Pizza Kitchen at Atlantic Station!! Their kids are adorable.

Pete took me to the Catalyst Conference last week and I really enjoyed that. He has been asking me for the past 3 years, so I decided it must be really good and it was. I'm so glad I went.

Alex Himaya (another great friend) spent the weekend with us and spoke at our church on Sunday and did a great job. It was also great to be with him!!
